New Delhi, Oct 1:World second gear General Motors(GM) India reported its sales for the month of September increased by 17.35 % to 10,112 units, due to great response to its hatchback Chevrolet Beat Diesel amid rising petrol price.
GM had sold 8,617 units during the same month a year ago .
Expressing happiness over the sales figure, Mr P Balendran, Vice President, GM India, said, "The growth was primarily driven by the recently launched most fuel efficient vehicle Chevrolet Beat Diesel." GM India has sold 5,621 units of Beat, 1,789 units of Tavera, 1,603 units of Spark, 814 units of the Cruze, 325 units of Optra, 192 units of Aveo and 128 units of the Captiva during the month, it said in a statement
