The sales of Ford car in India improved by 9.45% to 10,270 units, mainly on high demand of new Fiesta and India rededicated Figo. Ford India  had sold 9,383 cars in the same month in 2010.

Expressing the satisfaction over the sales performance, Ford India President and Managing Director Michael Boneham said, "Sales rose mainly on the back of new vehicle, all-new Ford Fiesta, and continued strong demand for the Ford Figo." However, the domestic sales have reduced by 6.9% to 7,801 units with respect to 8,380 units in the same month in 2010, it added.

Its overseas shipments increased up to 2,469 units in September this year with respect to 1,003 units in same month in 2010.

During first half of the year, Ford sold 90,612 units with respect to 67,253 units in the same period of 2010, registering an increase of 35%.
